IT Support Specialist Job at a
Glance Location:
Florence, SC Contract:
W2 only, 12 month contract with potential for extension or conversion to full time with either the client or
CEI Pay:
$26/hr Key Responsibilities Monitors/updates dispatch system and works incoming tickets as assigned. Provides troubleshooting, technical support and development of end-user guidelines. Configures, installs, monitors, and maintains IT users workstation software and hardware. Ensures proper backing up of data from user workstations and that tools and equipment are licensed and approved by IS purchasing. Ensures proper configuration and adherence to security configurations and settings. Tests, troubleshoots, maintains, modifies, validates and documents application packages. Documents configurations and standards so that colleagues can reference similar issues and improve resolution time. Assists other departments as needed to resolve issues. May perform administrative tasks such as reporting, ordering replacement parts, and tracking status/inventory of items. Keeps apprised of new technologies related to workstation support procedures. Required Skills 2 years of technical operations support experience. Knowledge of troubleshooting and technical support procedures. Ability to configure, install, and maintain workstation hardware and software. Familiarity with data backup and security configurations. Required Education Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related field, or 2 years of job-related work experience. Preferred Skills Experience with VPN, ping, BIOS, IP addresses, DHCP, DNS, AD, ipconfig command, and domain management. Strong troubleshooting and support skills. Knowledge of workstation security and licensing procedures. CompTIA A+ and/or Network+ Certification preferred.
