April 01, 2026 WHY
THIS ROLE
This isn't a cubicle support role. You'll be embedded inside a major automobile manufacturer's production facility — supporting the people and systems that keep a real assembly line running. When a workstation on the plant floor goes down, you're the one who gets it back up. You'll work hands-on with industrial and enterprise technology in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where uptime matters. This is regular, full-time work with a chance to get experience supporting critical infrastructure at one of the biggest names in automotive.
WHAT WE OFFER
Regular full-time position. Health, dental, and vision coverage (eligible after 90 days). 401(k) eligibility with company match. Sick time available from day one. Tiered PTO accrual schedule based on tenure. Retention bonuses at Go-Live and 6 months of employment. LifeMart employee discount program - exclusively savings on travel, electronics, entertainment, fitness, childcare, auto services, and more. Stable, enterprise client environment — no revolving-door MSP chaos. Employee referral program — know a former coworker or friend who'd be a great fit? Send them our way and earn a referral bonus when they're hired.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You'll provide hands-on deskside and floor-level support across both the corporate offices and the production/manufacturing environment. Day to day, that looks like but not limited to Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues for desktops, laptops, ruggedized devices, mobile handhelds, and peripherals used in both office and plant-floor settings. Support production-critical workstations, barcode/label printers, RF scanners, and shop-floor terminals that directly impact manufacturing output. Image, deploy, and migrate Windows 10/11 workstations using enterprise tools (SCCM, MDT, Autopilot, or similar). Support Microsoft 365 suite, Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, and Group Policy in a domain-joined environment. Manage network printer/scanner configuration including IP addressing and TCP/IP connectivity across office and industrial networks. Provide VIP/executive-level support for plant leadership and front-office staff, including AV and video conferencing systems. Respond to high-priority incidents on the production floor where system downtime directly impacts the assembly line. Coordinate with OT (Operational Technology), network, and manufacturing systems teams for escalation and root-cause analysis.
Perform asset lifecycle management:
receiving, provisioning, redeployment, and decommissioning. Document all work in the ticketing system (ServiceNow, Remedy, or equivalent) and meet defined SLA targets. Communicate clearly with engineers, plant operators, office staff, and management alike.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a manufacturing facility - not a typical office.
You should be comfortable with:
Splitting time between climate-controlled office areas and the production/plant floor. Working in an environment with industrial noise, moving machinery, and variable temperatures. Wearing required PPE (personal protective equipment) including steel-toe boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, and high-visibility vests as dictated by plant safety policy. Walking and standing for extended periods, including navigating stairs, catwalks, and large facility footprints Responding quickly to production-impacting issues — when the line is down, urgency is real. Following strict facility safety protocols, including lockout/tagout awareness and restricted-area access procedures.
WHAT YOU BRING
Required:
3+ years of hands-on deskside/desktop support experience in an enterprise environment (500+ users). Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11 deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting. Experience with Active Directory (user/group management, GPOs, password resets). Familiarity with enterprise imaging and deployment tools (SCCM, MDT, Intune, or equivalent). Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, DHCP, DNS, and VPN connectivity. Experience supporting Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint). Comfortable working in an industrial/manufacturing environment with PPE requirements. Excellent customer service instincts and professional demeanor — you'll interact with everyone from plant operators to executives. Ability to lift and transport IT equipment (up to 50 lbs) and navigate a large facility on foot. Preferred (not required): CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications (MD-100, MD-101, MS-900). ITIL Foundation certification or familiarity with ITIL service management frameworks. Experience with Intune/Endpoint Manager and Autopilot. Prior experience supporting IT in a manufacturing, automotive, or industrial environment. Familiarity with ruggedized hardware, barcode/label printers, RF scanners, or shop-floor terminals. Exposure to OT/IT convergence environments or awareness of industrial network segmentation. Experience in managed services (MSP) or multi-client support model.
