Job Description

York Technical College, a member of the South Carolina Technical and Comprehensive Education System, is a public,two-year institution of higher education that offers a variety of associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. Throughmaximizing student success, the College seeks to contribute to the economic growth and development of York, Lancaster,and Chester counties and of the State. The IT Services Specialist I - Part-Time performs the following functions: Installs and maintains PC hardware, software, and peripherals (printers, scanners, ip phones, etc.) for employees, labs, classrooms, and testing centers. Provides network support from device to patch panel. This will entail utilizing various hardware/software tools to deploy pc images, inventory PCs, update PCs, and encrypt PCs. Follow documented proceedures. Installs and maintains technology specific to classrooms, including projecters, large screen displays, and document cameras. Provide support for web meetings / video conferencing. Resolves issues esclated from the Help Desk, including assiting end users in utilizing technology at York Technical College. May include providing coverage on Help Desk. Provides technical support to special events, such as new student orientations and technology fairs. Participates in IT related projects. Other duties as assigned. High school diploma and experience working with PCs and related technology, whether it be as part of college class work or at a job related to supporting technology/PCs.
