Job Description

In this position you will be responsible for the following: You will respond to customer inquiries regarding technology needs and alerts via emails, incoming calls, and walk-ins. You will answer phone calls and responds to visitors in a timely fashion following the department's procedures. You will seek to resolve customer concerns in a pleasant and professional manner. Interactions with customers should be clear/professional communication, a polite tone of voice, active listening skills, accuracy/timeliness in response, and the provision of exceptional customer service. You will create helpdesk tickets and perform level one type problem determination & troubleshooting to facilitate resolution & record efforts in helpdesk tracking system. You will check to ensure user has no other issues to address at the time. You will forward helpdesk tickets to the appropriate I.T. group if higher level support is necessary. A high school diploma and two years relevant experience. An associate's degree in a related field may be substituted for required years of experience. Ability to understand and carry out simple to moderately technical and non-technical instructions and requests. Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner. Ability to work effectively with users, vendors, and other IT personnel. Ability to provide status reports and other technical and non-technical reports in a clear and concise manner. Ability to use problem management database and help desk systems. If invited to interview, please obtain your Official 10 year driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles to bring with you. Official transcripts will be required to verify college degree.
