Responsibilities Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of computer hardware, peripherals, and network equipment at client locations. Troubleshoot software issues, diagnose hardware failures, and implement effective solutions promptly. Use hand tools and schematics to disassemble, repair, or replace components on various equipment. Conduct routine inspections of IT systems to identify potential issues before they escalate. Assist with network setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of computer networking systems to ensure seamless connectivity. Follow OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) guidelines for repairs and maintenance to guarantee quality standards. Document all service activities thoroughly in logs and reports for future reference and accountability. Skills Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and their repair procedures. Proficiency in software troubleshooting across different operating systems and applications. Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools for equipment repair or assembly. Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to facilitate accurate diagnostics. Experience working as a service technician in a field environment with excellent problem-solving skills. Understanding of computer networking principles including routers, switches, and IP configurations. Mechanical knowledge relevant to maintaining or repairing physical equipment in diverse settings.
