This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role towards the end of 2026. The role centers on supporting and improving integrations, partnering with internal teams and external vendors, and helping the organization expand its operational capacity as project demand increases.
Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and maintain healthcare interfaces using Mirth Connect or comparable integration platforms to support clinical and financial system connectivity. Investigate interface failures, data flow issues, and messaging problems in production, then implement timely resolutions to restore system performance. Oversee several smaller initiatives at the same time while contributing to broader integration efforts as business needs require. Partner with internal departments, third-party vendors, and business stakeholders to collect requirements, clarify expectations, and deliver effective integration solutions. Take ownership of support tasks and project work that helps ease team backlog and enables senior engineers to focus on complex initiatives. Provide support for Azure-based integration components, including services such as functions, queues, and storage resources. Recommend and implement practical automation opportunities that reduce repetitive troubleshooting and manual support activities. Contribute to the growth of the integration environment, including expansion of interface engine capabilities when needed. Create and maintain organized technical documentation and provide clear updates on progress, risks, and issue resolution to stakeholders. Hands-on experience with Mirth Connect or another interface engine such as Cloverleaf, Rhapsody, or a similar platform. Background supporting healthcare integrations, including work with HL7, APIs, or related interoperability standards. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot live interfaces and resolve production support issues efficiently. Proven success managing multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, and cross-functional internal teams. Familiarity with Azure services relevant to integrations, such as Functions, queues, or storage, is preferred. Experience with C# or scripting for support, customization, or automation is beneficial. Comfortable handling both technical execution and coordination activities across integration-focused projects.
