The Senior IT Network Engineer will play a key role in designing, deploying, and managing network infrastructure across multiple healthcare practice locations. The Senior IT Network Engineer position is heavily focused on networking technologies including firewalls, managed switches, wireless infrastructure, SD-WAN, VPN connectivity, and redundant ISP configurations. The Senior IT Network Engineer is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on network engineer who enjoys designing and deploying enterprise-grade infrastructure, solving complex connectivity challenges, and supporting mission-critical healthcare operations. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, distributed environments, brings strong technical expertise and combined with the ability to lead infrastructure projects from planning through execution as well as strong coordination and vendor management skills, is comfortable working within a remote-friendly, agile IT organization and has a willingness to travel up to 50% throughout the continental U.S.
Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, configure, and support enterprise network infrastructure including Firewalls, Managed switches, Wireless access points, SD-WAN solutions and VPN connectivity Implement and manage redundant internet circuits and failover configurations to ensure high availability across all locations Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across multi-vendor environments involving routing, switching, wireless, and security appliances Monitor network performance and contribute to proactive infrastructure management initiatives Lead execution of IT infrastructure projects including New practice integrations, Network refresh initiatives and Hardware deployments Serve as the technical lead during onboarding and integration of new healthcare practice locations Oversee infrastructure readiness, on-site deployments, and remote configuration activities Coordinate closely with vendors, ISP providers, internal IT teams, and field support resources Manage ISP vendor quotes, procurement processes, and installation scheduling Coordinate circuit provisioning, troubleshooting, and SLA management with service providers Support SD-WAN optimization and connectivity improvements across distributed practice locations Contribute to deployment standards, implementation playbooks, and technical documentation Document configurations, processes, and infrastructure changes clearly and accurately Support continuous improvement initiatives across IT operations and project delivery
Qualifications:
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Network+, or equivalent, certifications required Additional certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or cloud networking certifications, a plus Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience, preferred 8+ years of IT experience with strong emphasis on network engineering and infrastructure deployment 5+ years of hands-on IT project engineering experience, preferably in healthcare or multi-site environments Extensive experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Fortinet appliances, Enterprise wireless infrastructure and WAN technologies Proven experience implementing and managing SD-WAN platforms such as Cisco Meraki, Fortinet and Palo Alto Prisma Hands-on experience configuring redundant internet circuits and ISP failover solutions Strong troubleshooting skills across complex, multi-vendor network environments Experience with network monitoring and infrastructure management tools Background in systems administration including server, workstation, and endpoint deployment Experience supporting healthcare integrations or multi-site IT rollouts, preferred #IND123
