Overview:
Our client, a leading organization in the technology and support services sector, is seeking a Support Engineer II to join their team. As a Support Engineer II, you will be part of the IT Support Department supporting the technical needs of the organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, proactive communication, and a customer-focused approach, which will align successfully in the organization. What's the Job? + Install, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop computers, peripherals, software, and related systems. + Resolve hardware, software, and user permission issues in a timely manner. + Perform routine hardware maintenance to ensure optimal performance. + Support Windows XP/7 and Server operating systems within a managed desktop environment. + Assist with basic support for Macintosh OS X and Linux/UNIX systems at a user level. What's Needed? + 3-6 years of relevant work experience in IT support or related fields. + Detailed knowledge of PC hardware, software troubleshooting, and basic computer concepts. + Experience supporting Windows and Server operating systems; Macintosh OS X experience desirable. + Solid understanding of networks including Ethernet, TCP/IP, and Windows Server networking. + Relevant certifications such as Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, Apple ACMT/ACSP, or Cisco CCNA are preferred.
