Job Description

Technical Support Specialist - Job Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Support Specialist to join our operations team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in technical support and be comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment involving Unix systems, ticketing tools, and onsite vehicle operations. Key Responsibilities Provide technical and operational support to internal teams and field operators Troubleshoot, document, and escalate technical issues when required Work daily in a Unix/Linux environment using basic commands and utilities Monitor systems and support operational workflows efficiently Use ticketing platforms such as Jira, YouTrack, or similar tools to manage and track issues Communicate effectively with drivers, operators, engineers, and cross-functional teams Create and maintain internal documentation, SOPs, and workflow updates Manage multiple support requests simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness Support onsite operations, including moving vehicles within garages or operational facilities when needed Follow safety procedures and maintain high operational awareness at all times Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience in technical support, operations support, or a similar support-based role Comfortable working in a Unix/Linux environment as part of daily responsibilities Good knowledge of Unix commands and utilities such as: cd ls rm cp scp cat vim uptime journalctl Experience using Slack for day-to-day communication Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Jira, YouTrack, or similar platforms Strong problem-solving and issue documentation skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills High attention to detail, responsibility, and safety awareness Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Additional Requirements Valid driver's license held for at least 3 years Comfortable driving and moving vehicles around operational sites or garages Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working onsite around vehicles for extended periods Preferred Qualities Team player with a proactive mindset Ability to adapt quickly to changing operational requirements Strong ownership and accountability in handling support tasks
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour Application Question(s): Have you held a valid drivers license for at least 3 years? Can you describe your experience managing vehicle dispatch, performing startup/shutdown procedures, or handling fleet readiness tasks? Have you performed basic vehicle maintenance, routine service tasks, or minor technical/repair work in past roles? Please provide examples. This role requires rapid response to on-road support and incidents—can you share a situation where you had to act quickly to resolve a technical or safety-related issue? Tell me about your driving experience—what types of vehicles have you driven, and how comfortable are you navigating different road and weather conditions? How proficient are you with computer systems and software tools? Can you provide examples of how you've used them to support daily operations or reporting? First shift:
4:00 AM to 12:00 PM Second shift: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM Third shift: 6:00 PM to 1:00 AM Are you a US citizen or a GC holder? How soon can you join?
