This job is located in Big Lake, TX. We are looking for hire who living in Big Lake, San Angelo or Midland/Odessa(1 hour or less driving to Big Lake). If you are living in San Antonio or other big city, you may have to stay at our Big Lake apartment during the week. So if you are hired, we need you to drive between Big Lake and your home on demand, or you can stay at our Big Lake apartment too. Overview Our cryptocurrency mining business is growing. We are looking to fill out the position of Mining Technician to join our team who can dedicate himself to his work and become a part of the organization in the long term. Highly motivated individuals with knowledge and experience are aways welcome to join our team. We prefer our candidate are proficiency in computer hardware and networking infrastructure. But if you don't have experience, we will train you. The position requires basic computer hardware and software technical knowledge. Qualifications Ability to solve problems independently and keep positive attitude with repeating work. Ability to cooperating with teammates to complete tasks and meet goals. Prefer the ideal candidates have some experience in electrical troubleshooting. High school diploma or college graduation. Work requires walk and left/carry 50 lbs. Ability to keep recording consistently and save all electronic records and documentations. Be available via phone for any outages and or escalations from 8am - 8pm. Ability to work in both indoors and outdoors. A reliable self-transportation is need. A daily commute could cause 1-1.5 hours for one run depends on candidates' living city. An electrical apprenticeship knowledge/experience would be very welcome, but not a requirement. Responsibilities Responsible for daily computer equipment on rack, unrack, reboot, equipment online testing, and maintaining. Responsible for monitoring and reporting any unusual outage from facility water and electronic running system. Assisting with trouble shooting problems as needed. Communicate with teammate through phone and email is need. Recovering offline miners following under instructions. Identifying computer equipment need to unrack and send to repair after online testing and reboot. Running hardware diagnostics and replacing such as fan and power supply replacement in a timely manner as miner maintains requirements. Scanning each repaired computer equipment' bar core before equipment shipping out. And keep electronic records. Completing daily tasks and duties independently. Maintaining an organized equipment area and storage of available hardware, ensuring a clean, presentable environment. Receiving and scanning new inventory and barcoding items for inventory control. Strong attention to details when placing back miners to their nominated spot and insuring accuracy of placement. Monitoring temperatures, communicate with teammate about HVAC or power issues to find the solution to protect computer equipment. Cooperating with individuals from different departments as well as team members within your department, both onsite and remote. Be available on call when mining equipment need reboots and simple troubleshooting. Assisting monthly warehouse inventory count.
