Position Summary The Technical Sales & Support Specialist bridges the gap between expert customer care and proactive sales consultation. Serving as our primary technical expert for clients, this role goes beyond standard support to diagnose plumbing and fixture issues, recommend optimal solutions, and actively drive sales through consultative recommendations. The ideal candidate uses their deep product knowledge to guide homeowners and design professionals toward the right products for their needs, turning technical inquiries into revenue opportunities while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Consultative Sales & Support Expert Troubleshooting:
Diagnose complex technical and plumbing inquiries from customers, guiding them through product functionality, installation queries, and mechanical troubleshooting.
Solution-Based Selling:
Evaluate customer needs to recommend the best-fit Flusso fixtures, parts, or fully coordinated collections, actively converting support interactions into sales opportunities.
Product & Pricing Expertise:
Provide comprehensive and precise technical product information, specification details, pricing, and availability to design professionals and homeowners.
Omnichannel Client Engagement:
Manage and resolve incoming phone calls, emails, and Freshdesk support tickets with a proactive, sales-driven, and highly professional approach.
Proactive Follow-up:
Conduct outbound calls to follow up on technical quotes, clarify order specifications, and ensure client satisfaction with recommended solutions.
Sales Administration & Documentation Accurate Order Entry:
Perform precise and timely data entry for technical orders, quotes, parts replacement, and customer records within company systems.
Case & Opportunity Tracking:
Log all technical interactions, troubleshooting steps, and sales opportunities accurately within the Freshdesk system or designated platforms.
System & Process Feedback:
Provide regular feedback on customer product issues and the efficiency of the sales/support pipeline to optimize the overall client journey.
Operational Support:
Assist with maintaining digital customer files, organized technical documentation, and contributing to a collaborative office environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. 3-5 years of experience in a technical support, inside sales, or customer-facing role, preferably within an office, showroom, or manufacturing environment. Experience with the kitchen and bath plumbing industry is a must Experience working for an American plumbing brand, preferably in an office environment. Proven ability to quickly master technical product specifications and guide others through troubleshooting steps. Experience with CRM or ticket management systems (Freshdesk experience is a strong plus) , as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts simply and persuasively.
