Job Description

The LMS/WMS Systems Specialist supports warehouse and manufacturing systems by troubleshooting hardware and software issues, developing alerts and automated reporting, and improving system performance through SQL and database enhancements. This role partners with operations and project teams to resolve recurring issues, support customer-facing initiatives, and ensure system reliability and audit readiness in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems Support & Troubleshooting Provide advanced support for hardware and software installation and troubleshooting, including desktops and Zebra printers. Support manufacturing and warehouse system operations, minimizing downtime and restoring service quickly. Identify recurring issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to reduce or eliminate repeat incidents. Work effectively under pressure and communicate clearly with end users and stakeholders. Reporting, Alerts & Automation Design and implement alerts, automated reports, and simple applications to support end-user needs. Develop solutions that improve visibility, reduce manual work, and enhance operational efficiency. Attend cross-functional meetings with departments or customers to support process improvements and issue resolution. SQL & Database Development Design, implement, and maintain database objects including triggers, views, functions, and stored procedures. Tune or refactor legacy database objects to improve performance and reliability. Support data troubleshooting and validation using SQL queries and analysis. Project & Customer Support Partner with the Project Office on customer-facing projects and requirements. Support site integration work related to system changes, enhancements, and process updates. Provide required documentation and clarifications for customer and external audits. Security & Access Management (Preferred) Support Active Directory administration including account creation, security groups, and policy creation/modification as allowed. Follow information security and access control procedures to ensure compliance. Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field required. 3+ years of experience supporting hardware and software installation/troubleshooting (desktops, Zebra printers). 3+ years of experience in IT engineering or systems engineering preferred. SQL required. Skills Strong SQL skills and database development knowledge. Understanding of manufacturing or warehouse systems (LMS/WMS) preferred. Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting ability. Self-directed, proactive, efficient, and able to manage priorities independently. Strong communication skills and ease of speech; ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment. Active Directory knowledge preferred (account creation, policy creation/modification). Work Environment Manufacturing and warehouse environment supporting operational systems. Frequent collaboration with operations, IT, and project teams. Rotating shifts and overtime may be required to support production schedules and system changes. Physical Demands Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and install IT equipment and peripherals as needed. Ability to work in production and warehouse areas when supporting systems.
