Job Description
Under general direction of the IT Manager-Applications, the IT Applications Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining business-specific enterprise applications, this includes the testing, troubleshooting, scheduling, deployment, security and support of application patches and upgrades. This information is intended to be descriptive of the key responsibilities of the position. The following examples do not identify all duties performed by any single incumbent. This position has responsibilities that require lifting up to 10 pounds on occasion. Support of upgrades, software patches, system configuration and administration, troubleshooting, testing, and daily monitoring of key infrastructure and third party applications throughout the application life cycle. Provides customer support and assists in working with internal IT teams and technology vendors to ensure all systems are available and secure on a 24 by 7 basis. Develops and ensures updates to technical and/or user documentation of systems, processes, troubleshooting steps, etc. Participates in the evaluation and selection process for application packages. Collects requirements and performs analysis on 3 rd party solutions for internal business processes. All other duties as assigned by the Application Services manager. Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality for the assigned work hours is essential.
