Job Description

The IT Hardware Support Technician plays a critical role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining server‑grade computer hardware to support high‑volume operations. This position requires strong attention to detail, technical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively within a fast‑paced production environment. The Technician will ensure equipment reliability, contribute to efficient workflow, and support cross‑functional teams with hardware‑related challenges. Shift Times & Pay 1st Shift 6:45 AM

  • 12:00 AM (Mon-Fri) $18/hr Weekend Shift 6:00 AM

50/hr Key Responsibilities As an IT Hardware Support Technician, you will: Server & Hardware Diagnostics Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues on Linux-based servers . Perform repairs and replacements on server components including CPUs, memory modules, hard drives, RAID components, and network cards . Maintenance & Documentation Conduct routine maintenance to ensure peak server performance. Document symptoms, diagnostics, repairs, and part replacements using the shop‑floor tracking system. Collaboration & Problem-Solving Work closely with internal IT teams to address complex technical issues. Follow best practices for hardware handling, server reliability, and system security. Support cross-functional teams requiring hardware expertise. Requirements & Qualifications Required Proven experience in server repair, hardware troubleshooting, or a similar IT repair role . Minimum 1 year of Linux system administration experience . Minimum 6 months in a hardware repair or technical environment . Ability to lift 50+ lbs and handle physical tasks related to hardware installation and repair. Strong technical troubleshooting skills across server hardware and Linux environments. Clear written and verbal communication skills for documenting work and collaborating with the team. Preferred Knowledge of enterprise‑level server hardware, diagnostic tools, and ESD safety procedures. Experience working in a production, depot repair, or data center environment. Certifications such as CompTIA A+ , Server+ , or similar are a plus.
