This pivotal role involves leading the design, implementation, and optimization of Delta V Distributed Control Systems (DCS) to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and compliance. As a key driver of technological excellence, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure seamless integration of robotics and automation technologies. Your leadership will empower our manufacturing processes to achieve new levels of productivity and quality. Responsibilities Lead the development, configuration, and maintenance of Delta V control systems to support manufacturing operations. Oversee robot programming and integration, particularly with Fanuc robotics systems, ensuring precise operation and safety standards. Collaborate with mechanical engineers to interpret schematics, blueprints, and AutoCAD drawings for system upgrades or new installations. Conduct root cause analysis on system failures or process deviations, implementing corrective actions promptly. Develop and review control system schematics and documentation using SolidWorks and AutoCAD to ensure clarity and compliance. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by optimizing control processes for efficiency and waste reduction. Manage the integration of vision inspection systems and other automation tools within the control architecture. Provide technical guidance on programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and related instrumentation. Facilitate training sessions for team members on Delta V software, robotics programming, and troubleshooting techniques. Requirements Proven experience with Delta V control systems in a manufacturing setting, including configuration, troubleshooting, and upgrades. Strong background in robotics programming, especially with Fanuc robotic systems. Mechanical knowledge applicable to tooling, machining, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and mechanical assembly. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD software for designing or modifying system layouts. Hands-on experience with vision inspection systems and automation components such as sensors and actuators. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Knowledge of CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) standards relevant to regulated industries. Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively under pressure while maintaining safety standards.
