Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional for this full-time, on-site position in Houston, TX. This is a high-impact role supporting a portfolio of business entities under one ownership group, offering broad exposure across industries, environments, and compliance frameworks.
Network Infrastructure Design & Management:
Design, deploy, and manage LAN/WAN, VLAN, SD-WAN, and wireless network environments across multiple entities Lead Ubiquiti (UniFi/UISP) network deployments including Dream Machines, switches, access points, and gateways Manage routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and oversee VPN configurations (IPSec, SSL/TLS) for secure connectivity Monitor network health, performance, and availability; maintain topology diagrams and documentation
Compliance & Security:
Implement and enforce network security policies aligned with
HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC
2, and NIST frameworks Conduct vulnerability assessments and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC, and access control policies Manage certificate management, zero-trust principles, and network segmentation strategies
Automation & Multi-Entity Support:
Develop automation scripts using Python, Ansible, or Terraform for network provisioning and configuration Serve as primary network point of contact across all entities; provide Tier 2/3 troubleshooting support Manage vendor relationships, ISP contracts, and network licensing agreements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field Minimum 5 years of hands-on network engineering experience CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) — active certification required Proven expertise with Ubiquiti product lines: UniFi, UISP, EdgeMAX, and airMAX Strong command of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), and switching technologies
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional certifications: CCIE, CompTIA Network+/Security+, Ubiquiti UBWA or UEWA Familiarity with cloud networking on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Experience supporting compliance audits (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or
NIST 800-53
) Background in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform or similar
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
