Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated IT Technician to provide comprehensive technical support within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network systems to ensure optimal operational efficiency. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of various IT infrastructure components. The IT Technician will play a key role in supporting our IT environment, including desktop support, network administration, and system management across multiple operating systems. Duties Provide technical support and assistance to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues Troubleshoot software problems related to operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux Manage computer hardware including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals Configure and maintain computer networks including LAN, VPNs, firewalls, DNS, TCP/IP protocols, and network devices like Meraki and Cisco equipment Support Active Directory management, GPO configuration, SCCM deployment, and Windows Server administration Assist with the setup and maintenance of IT infrastructure components such as DNS servers, TCP/IP configurations, and network security measures Utilize help desk tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy for ticket tracking and issue resolution Perform regular updates and patches using tools like SCCM; manage software deployment across multiple systems Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues using network administration skills Support user onboarding/offboarding processes; assist with mobile device management and desktop support tasks Document technical procedures and maintain accurate inventory of hardware/software assets Skills Strong technical support skills with experience in software troubleshooting and hardware management Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server environments and Active Directory Familiarity with macOS and Linux operating systems; experience with operating system installation and configuration Knowledge of computer networking including LAN/WAN setup, TCP/IP protocols, DNS configuration, VPNs (e.g., VPN), firewalls (e.g., Firewall), TCP (Transmission Control Protocol), DHCP Experience with network devices such as Meraki switches/routers; familiarity with network security best practices Ability to manage computer hardware components; troubleshooting desktops/laptops/mobile devices effectively Experience with IT management tools like SCCM for software deployment; GPO for group policy management; BMC Remedy for ticketing; ServiceNow or Jira for workflow management Skills in network administration including LAN setup, DNS management, TCP/IP troubleshooting Strong analysis skills to identify root causes of technical issues quickly and efficiently Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments This position offers an engaging opportunity for an IT professional eager to support diverse technological environments while contributing to the seamless operation of our organization's IT services.

$50.00 - $75.00 per hour
