Job Description

The Infrastructure Engineer is a senior-level technical role responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing support of the company's IT infrastructure. This includes servers, virtualization platforms, storage, endpoints, and supporting systems across the enterprise. The Infrastructure Engineer plays a key role in ensuring systems are reliable, secure, performant, and aligned with business needs — while also contributing to strategic initiatives such as infrastructure modernization, cloud adoption, and automation. Systems & Server Administration Administer and maintain server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Monitor system health, capacity, and performance; proactively address tuning and optimization needs Ensure servers and endpoints are appropriately configured, patched, backed up, and tested per industry best practices Virtualization & Storage Manage and maintain virtualization platforms including VMware (vSphere, vSAN) and Hyper-V environments Administer SAN/NAS storage infrastructure and ensure adequate capacity and redundancy Support Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments as applicable Security, Backup & Compliance Implement and maintain security standards, backup strategies, and redundancy configurations Manage software patching cadence and vulnerability remediation across the server and endpoint environment Ensure systems comply with corporate IT standards and security policies Support audit and compliance activities as required Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure Support and administer hybrid cloud environments in Microsoft Azure and/or AWS Assist in cloud migration initiatives and the ongoing optimization of cloud-hosted workloads Maintain connectivity and integration between on-premises and cloud infrastructure Automation & Tooling Develop and maintain scripts and automation workflows using PowerShell, Python, or similar tools to improve operational efficiency Leverage software distribution and patch management platforms for consistent, scalable deployments Maintain and improve monitoring and alerting capabilities across the infrastructure environment Support & Collaboration Resolve escalated technical requests and incidents through our help desk ticketing system Communicate clearly with end users and team members to diagnose issues and deliver effective solutions Participate in problem management and root cause analysis processes Share knowledge across the IT organization and contribute to internal documentation and runbooks Participate in IT infrastructure projects including upgrades, migrations, and new implementations Support asset management and hardware provisioning activities Prysmian, as an Equal Opportunity Employer, aims to attract and recruit individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.
