This position focuses on preparing laptops and desktop computers for resale by performing OS deployment, software installation, diagnostics, testing, and quality control to ensure each device is fully functional before shipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, deploy, and configure operating systems (OS) on laptops and desktops Perform BIOS setup, driver installation, updates, and system optimization Run diagnostic tests on hardware components including battery, RAM, SSD, keyboard, touchscreen, Wi-Fi, webcam, speakers, and ports Use testing and diagnostic software to verify full system functionality Troubleshoot software and hardware issues and report defects Perform secure data wiping, factory resets, and system reimaging as needed Ensure all devices meet company quality control standards before shipping Assist with basic hardware upgrades or replacements such as RAM, SSD, batteries, or chargers Maintain organized records of installations, testing, and device status Keep workstations, inventory, and testing areas clean and organized Prepare tested devices for final packaging and shipment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with OS deployment, software setup, or computer repair Basic understanding of laptop and desktop hardware components Familiarity with BIOS settings, drivers, and troubleshooting tools Experience with refurbished electronics is a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to follow testing procedures Comfortable working in a warehouse or technical lab environment Basic inventory or warehouse organization skills
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Prior technical, IT support, or refurbishment experience preferred but not required Ability to lift and move laptops, desktops, and small electronics Reliable attendance, punctuality, and strong work ethic Ability to work independently and as part of a team
