POS Technical Support Specialist:
The Level 2 POS Technical Support Specialist provides advanced technical assistance to merchants and internal teams. You will handle escalated tickets that Level 1 cannot resolve, focusing on complex software bugs, hardware integration failures, and backend data discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities Advanced Troubleshooting:
Resolve complex issues involving POS software, peripheral hardware (printers, scanners, card readers), and mobile payment interfaces.
Escalation Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for issues escalated from Tier 1; escalate unresolved "show-stopper" bugs to Tier 3 or DevOps engineers.
Database & Logs:
Query SQL databases to fix transaction errors and analyze system logs to identify the root cause of recurring crashes.
Network Optimization:
Troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity issues, firewall blocks, and Wi-Fi latency affecting terminal performance.
Knowledge Management:
Create and maintain documentation for the internal Knowledge Base (KB) to empower Tier 1 agents.
