The Help Desk I responsibilities include working and resolving tickets in a timely manner and escalating to higher tiers when needed. Document tickets appropriately and respond to emails. Assist via phone or in person with troubleshooting hardware and/or software in the office. Setup and install new or replacement hardware or software.
Position Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot end-user hardware, software, and networking problems in a Windows / Linux environment Troubleshoot, identify, research, and resolve technical problems Respond to telephone calls, email, and personnel requests for technical support Document, track, and monitor the status of a problem to ensure a timely resolution via ticketing system Verify with the end users that problems are resolved Escalate unresolved end-user problems to appropriate tier Install and configure workstation software and printers Provide on-call support on one Saturday a month
Position Requirements:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system and applications Working knowledge of computer networking, server to workstation topologies, and connectivity issues Any knowledge of Linux is a plus: configuring network, checking IP addresses, basic commands, Samba, Cups, Apache, SSH Ability to perform multiple tasks and work on multiple issues with appropriate supervision Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong technical, analytical, and organizational skills Keen attention to detail is a must Strong sense of urgency, solid sense of ownership, and team player Self-motivated (proactive) and able to work independently 1 year of hands-on technical experience Able to successfully pass a background check Reliable transportation A+, Network+, MCP preferred Fluency in Spanish is a plus This is for a Full-time on-site shift either 8AM-5PM or 9AM-6PM M-F Travel based on operational needs Work Authorization Notice Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
