Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a hands-on, technically-grounded Cable Supervisor to lead and grow an internal cable assembly team in Sugar Land, TX!

Position Overview:

In this role, you will serve as a key leader responsible for streamlining internal cable processes and improving assembly techniques to support a significant increase in embedded systems demand. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will oversee a newly formed internal team, managing everything from prototype development to production scheduling. This is a "hands-on" leadership role that requires the ability to personally build cable prototypes to provide feedback to engineering while simultaneously managing interdepartmental workflows and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

Manage assigned personnel, assist in the team's professional development, and grow assembly capacity to meet business needs.

Operational Scheduling:

Develop internal cable build schedules in coordination with the Master Scheduler and Buyers, managing make-versus-buy decisions based on team capacity.

Technical Execution:

Personally build cable prototypes to maintain expertise and provide critical design feedback to the engineering department.

Performance Ownership:

Own on-time delivery performance for all internal builds and investigate industry best practices to improve quality and productivity.

Cross-Functional Liaison:

Coordinate with the warehouse for material kits, escalate shortages to purchasing, and work with sustaining engineering to ensure technical support.

Quality & Compliance:

Ensure all activities support AS9100 and

ISO 9001

quality standards and internal work instructions.

Required Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience, with a strong preference for candidates from a cable assembly background.

Education:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a business or science-related field.

Technical Proficiency:

Must be able to accurately read and interpret complex cable assembly drawings.

Software Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word).

Soft Skills:

Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills with the ability to "make it happen" in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

We are seeking a self-motivated leader with 5+ years of production supervision and cable assembly experience. You should be equally comfortable troubleshooting an urgent cable rework at the bench as you are managing high-level production schedules and team metrics.
