Technical Support Specialist - Artificial Lift Monitoring & Control Systems (Remote and Field) Location Houston Monthly travel to the Permian Basin required Position Summary A growing international technology company specializing in monitoring and control solutions for artificial lift systems is seeking a Technical Support Specialist based in Houston, Texas. This role will serve as the primary technical liaison between customers in the Permian Basin and the company headquarters in England. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This position offers significant growth potential as the company continues expanding its US operations. Systems Supported Electric Submersible Pumps (ESP) Gas Lift Systems Progressive Cavity Pumps (PCP) Reciprocating Rod Lift Systems Jet Pump Systems Key Responsibilities Provide technical support to customers by phone, email, and in person to troubleshoot and resolve equipment and system issues Act as the primary liaison between U.S. customers and engineering/support teams in England Participate in weekly technical and operational meetings with the England-based team Travel monthly to customer locations in the Permian Basin to support operations, deliver inventory, and strengthen customer relationships Assist with inventory management, tracking, and organization at the Houston facility Perform light assembly and preparation of monitoring and control equipment Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of monitoring systems and field devices Coordinate customer feedback and communicate technical issues to internal engineering teams Maintain accurate service records, inventory documentation, and customer communication logs Assist with product testing and quality checks as needed Weekly check-in with customers to maintain relationships Qualifications Engineering background preferred, with emphasis in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related technical field Mechanical aptitude and understanding of oilfield production equipment Experience with artificial lift systems and/or oilfield automation preferred Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently without Excellent verbal and written communication skills Inventory and Assembly will be required for some products Comfortable interacting with customers in both office and field environments Proficient with Microsoft Office and general technical software Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly Travel Requirements Monthly travel to the Permian Basin Occasional travel to company headquarters in England for initial training and future meetings may be required Work Environment Combination of office, warehouse, and field-based responsibilities Hands-on technical support role with both administrative and customer-facing responsibilities Collaborative international work environment with direct interaction between U.S. and U.K. operations Growth Opportunity This role offers strong long-term career potential as the Texas operation continues to expand. Pay:
$110,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
