Job Description:
The IT Service Desk Agent serves as the first point of contact for end users, providing high-quality technical support via phone and live chat in a 24x7 environment. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, accurately documenting tickets, and troubleshooting enterprise hardware, software, and systems to achieve high first-contact resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver front-line IT support through phone and chat with a customer-first approach. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues; escalate when required. Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions clearly in the ticketing system. Manage multiple requests concurrently in a fast-paced environment. Collaborate with team members and adhere to IT policies and procedures. Support continuous improvement by identifying process or automation opportunities.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. 2-5 years of IT service desk or technical support experience in a fast-paced environment preferred. Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills. Technical aptitude with Windows-based systems and enterprise IT applications. Flexibility to support variable shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
