He works with several different businesses on our Warner Truck Center Campus, and cannot get to all of the physical facility needs and minor IT issues. Successful candidate needs to know a lot about Cyber Security and how to help all of our companies become compliant with the Mercedes Benz Cyber standards (which are clearly identified), but we are not comliant yet. They also need to have a knowledge about setting up and trouble shooting issues with computers, pc's - setting up and moving and working with the different business operating system providers we use. The person also needs to have a passion for helping employees with different physical facility issues that arise and develop and maintain preventive maintenance systems to keep the facilities working well. Having the ability to solve problems quickly, find and develop relationships with repair and maintenance vendors is critical. Position Summary:
The Dealership IT Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of information technology within an automotive dealership, ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of IT systems and infrastructure. This role often involves developing and executing IT strategy, managing vendor relationships, and providing support services to various departments within the dealership.
Key Responsibilities include:
System and Infrastructure Management:
Overseeing the operation of the dealership's computer system and associated equipment, including servers, hardware, and peripherals, and maintaining the network environment, security, and data backups.
Software and Application Management:
Administering and supporting key business applications like Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, and managing software updates.
IT Strategy and Budget:
Developing and implementing IT strategies and managing the IT budget.
Support and Security:
Providing technical support, implementing security policies such as firewalls and data encryption, and managing external IT vendors.
Additional Responsibilities:
Overseeing website administration and assisting with management information systems. Managing VoIP (Telecommunication) System with cloud phone system partner.
Qualifications:
Experience in IT management. Technical expertise in business applications, database management, and Windows systems. Experience with DMS is beneficial (CDK; DealerTrack; Karmak) Administration of MS 365 and Google Workspace. Digital Marketing understanding and experience. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Relevant certifications are a plus.
