some of your typical work assignments may include: Develops, implements and manages execution of C4\Cyber policy, direction, plans, standards and instructions. Advises and assists one-star Deputy Director on all matters related to C4\Cyber policy, personnel matters, financial oversight, and the development and implementation of long-term strategies that effectively support the organization's strategic direction. Maintains overall responsibility for integrated, responsive staff support to the Deputy Director for decision support, knowledge management, operations management, strategy, studies, documents, plans, and other actions required to assist him and his subordinate organizations in accomplishing the mission. Provides oversight of C4/Cyber Requirements, C4/Cyber Capabilities, Space, Nuclear C3, Spectrum Management, Cybersecurity guidance and Coalition/Mission Partner systems support, to the Deputy Director, C4\Cyber Employment and Modernization, in providing material and non-material capability recommendations and proposes interoperability programmatic recommendations in close coordination with the Director, Joint Requirements Oversight Council; the Department of War Chief Information Officer; and the Combatant Command J-6's. Provides technical review support and policy guidance in the development and sustainment of joint integrated and interoperable capabilities, leveraging existing technologies and non-material efforts to address near-term warfighting shortfall for the joint force. This position is
SITUATIONALLY
telework eligible Employee must obtain/maintain a Special Sensitive (Top Secret/SCI) security clearance. This position is designated as a Drug Testing Position (TDP) Incumbent must perform occasional travel away from the normal duty station and must be willing and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft, vessels, and/or vehicles (travel with little notice may be required). Occasional travel both nationally and internationally is required May be required to work other than normal duty hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and will be compensated within the scope/guidelines of government civilian employment Continuous education must focus on strategic planning, evolving cyber law, and policy oversight, requiring a minimum of20 Continuous Professional Development (CPD) hours annually. Qualifications You may qualify at the GS -15 , if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service as listed below: Exercises authority over operations, organizational performance, special and staff actions and projects across the enterprise; Advises and assists one-star Deputy Director on all matters related to C4\Cyber policy, personnel matters, financial oversight, and the development and implementation of long-term strategies that effectively support the organization's strategic direction; Responsible for the technical analysis, review, coordination, integration, and synchronization of directorate products in support of validating requirements and delivering C4\Cyber capabilities to joint warfighters; Reviews all Strategic Policy documents supporting the transformation of the Joint Force and ensures C4\Cyber programs, applications, and services are developed and delivered consistent with the Joint Force envisioned in those documents; Provides oversight of C4/Cyber Requirements, C4/Cyber Capabilities, Space, Nuclear C3, Spectrum Management, Cybersecurity guidance and Coalition/Mission Partner systems support, to the Deputy Director, C4\Cyber Employment and Modernization, Provides material and non-material capability recommendations and proposes interoperability programmatic recommendations in close coordination with the Director, Joint Requirements Oversight Council; the Department of War, Chief Information Officer; and the Combatant Command J-6 Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
