IT Help Desk Technician

Job Summary:

Commercial Electronics, Inc. is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented IT Help Desk Technician to support our day-to-day technology needs. This position will serve as the first point of contact for employee technical issues and will be responsible for setting up and maintaining user accounts, deploying new computer systems, and troubleshooting hardware and peripheral issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up new employee user accounts, email, and system access
• Remove or disable accounts for departing employees
• Configure, deploy, and install new computers and software
• Troubleshoot computer hardware issues and peripherals such as printers, monitors, and scanners
• Serve as the first level of technical support for employees
• Track and document issues and resolutions
• Coordinate with third-party IT providers when necessary
• Maintain inventory of computer equipment and peripherals
• Run and put on connectors for all cables required by the computer department.
• Clean, reset and dispose of old computer equipment.

Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical staff
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift and move computer equipment as needed Preferred (Not Required):
• Previous IT help desk or technical support experience
• Experience setting up computers and user accounts in a business environment
