Contract to hire About the Role We are seeking a motivated and customer‑focused IT Support Technician to join a higher‑education institution and provide hands‑on technology support for faculty, staff, and students. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, learning new technologies, and delivering excellent service in a fast‑paced academic environment. This position begins as a 12‑month evaluation period at $15/hour. Upon successful completion, you will be considered for a full‑time permanent role with competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. Key Responsibilities Provide second‑level technical support for computer hardware, software, and network connectivity issues Deploy, maintain, secure, and upgrade desktop and laptop systems, operating systems, applications, and printers Manage end‑user accounts, permissions, and access controls Train and mentor student technicians, offering guidance on technical tasks and best practices Research and evaluate new technologies, tools, and services to support continuous improvement Communicate proactively with faculty, staff, and students to ensure a positive support experience and high customer satisfaction
