Full Job Description Title:
Assistant Armorer Clearance Type:
Secret Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Have thorough knowledge of the principles of operation, disassembly/reassembly procedures and troubleshooting of NSW and SOCOM specific weapons, Visual Augmentation Systems (VAS) and weapon accessories from here to be referred to as Combat Weapons Systems (CWS). Assist with conducting assessments and required repairs to all CWS to include depot-level repairs to applicable systems. Assists in CWS inventory, storage, receipt, issue, and movements to meet all security and safety regulations. Must meet Lautenberg Amendment (Gun Control Act of 1968) requirements. Must be prepared to complete the Naval Special Warfare Enhanced Organizational Level Armorer Course upon soonest available opening. Must be able to lift items up to 75 lbs. 3+ years' experience repairing small arms.
