POSITION SUMMARY
The Network Support Analyst is responsible for supporting and maintaining Menards' enterprise network infrastructure across corporate offices, retail stores, distribution centers, and manufacturing facilities. As a member of the Information Systems Infrastructure team, this position plays a critical role in ensuring the availability, performance, and security of network systems that support daily business operations. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support and maintain enterprise data, voice, and video networks. Monitor network health, uptime, capacity, and performance using network management and monitoring tools. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve network issues involving routing, switching, wireless, security, cabling, and connectivity. Investigate and document incidents, outages, and performance-related problems. Identify recurring issues and recommend proactive improvements to increase reliability and efficiency. Assist with the installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrade of network infrastructure. Support network security initiatives, including firewalls, VPNs, authentication systems, and access controls. Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures. Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and service providers through phone, email, chat, and ticketing systems. POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Networking, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Excellent customer service, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively both independently and within a team environment. Experience supporting mission-critical network environments focused on maximizing uptime and performance. Ability to work in a secure, mission-critical production environment. Ability to work with vendors and service providers to support business operations. Must be able to work 2nd shift hours: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM Relocation to Eau Claire, Wisconsin is required. TECHNICIAL SKILLS
Experience or training in the following technologies is preferred: Routers and routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, RIP) Switching and Layer 2 technologies Autonomous and controller-based wireless networking IPT and VoIP systems Firewalls, ACLs, and network security technologies IPsec and SSL VPNs Protocol analysis and troubleshooting Network monitoring tools (SNMP, NetFlow)
