Position Summary:
The Tech Support Intern provides entry-level technical support and assists the IT team with day-to-day operations across Fathom's multi-site manufacturing and corporate environments. This role offers firsthand exposure to enterprise IT systems and service desk operations while supporting users under the guidance of senior IT staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and basic network issues. Assist in resolving service desk tickets including password resets and device setup. Support users across office and production environments. Assist with device provisioning, inventory, and asset tracking. Support Microsoft 365 user setup and troubleshooting Follow IT security policies and report concerns. Collaborating with IT team and participating in training Lead several small projects for the IT Operations Team related to network documentation, asset inventorying, knowledge base population, and AD clean-up.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Currently pursuing a degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field Basic understanding of hardware, operating systems, and networking Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 preferred Strong problem-solving and communication skills Willingness to learn and follow instructions. Good communication skills Preferred Skills Exposure to IT ticketing systems Basic knowledge of Active Directory or Azure Interest in manufacturing or industrial IT environments Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals Basic troubleshooting experience with Windows 10/11
Education Background:
Currently enrolled in, recently completed, or pursuing coursework in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Networking, or a related technical field preferred What we offer:
