Job Description

Role:
Desktop Support Technician - Must be a Wisconsin resident
Location:
Madison, WI Duration:
One Year Contract with possibility of extensions
Interview Process:
In-person interview IRG Clients is seeking a Desktop Support Technician with at least 2 years of experience providing end-user technical support in a fast-paced enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service abilities, and hands-on experience supporting desktop and laptop deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide remote and onsite technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices. Install, configure, image, deploy, and maintain computer hardware and software. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Assist users during device setup, migrations, and technology refresh projects. Manage inventory, equipment replacements, and proper disposal of retired devices. Document, track, and close support tickets while meeting service-level expectations. Travel periodically to support multiple locations and assist with project-based assignments.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2 years of desktop support or IT support experience. Strong remote troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills. Experience imaging and deploying Windows-based devices. Excellent customer service and end-user communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Strong multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Audio/Visual (AV) integration and support. Experience supporting enterprise hardware refresh and deployment projects.
Additional Requirements:
Must be a Wisconsin resident and able to work 100% onsite. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods as needed. Flexible schedule availability, including occasional workdays exceeding 8 hours. Valid driver's license and ability to travel between work locations when required.
