Bruker AXS, a subsidiary of Bruker producing X-ray analytical products such as X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), is seeking an instrument support engineer. As a Support Engineer, you are responsible to provide first line support to field engineers and customers using technical documentation, telephone support and remote diagnostic tools. You will maintain spare parts inventory, applications lab equipment, and participate in service training schools. There will be travel as necessary to support field operations and cross train-field engineers. Responsibilities Provide technical phone support to customers and field service personnel worldwide for Bruker AXS products Perform system repairs and maintain repair documentation of customer material and return to stock parts from the field Provide input and create service bulletins and other technical documentation Configure computers and peripherals as required Contribute to the development and delivery of service training classes Assist in the development and updating of technical maintenance manuals Provide final QA sign-off for production systems Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve hardware and software problems in the field and ensure Corrective/Preventive Action Reports (CPAR) are submitted as necessary Ability to travel up to 50% as necessary to support field operations Ability to be in the On Call Rotation for our 24/7 contract customer base Qualifications Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Motivated self-starter Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. High level technical hardware and software skills related to X-ray instrumentation. Strong competency with complex systems technology to include electrical/electronics, mechanics, software and chemistry technology Typical education would be a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical/Material Sciences, equivalent military education, or AA degree with 3 years' experience working with complex systems level instrumentation At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $48,600 and $86,500 provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position.
