Full-time Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior IT Technician to serve as the primary on-site technical resource, working alongside our Managed Service Provider (MSP). This is a hands on role responsible for day-to-day IT support, systems administration, and leading internal IT improvements and projects. This position is designed for someone with a strong technical foundation. In addition to support responsibilities, this role will evaluate and implement new technologies, including AI and automation tools, to improve business operations and efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities:
Technical Support & Operations (Core Responsibility): Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support across hardware, software, and user systems Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently Set up, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, and mobile devices Manage user onboarding/offboarding (accounts, permissions, equipment) Serve as the primary internal point of contact for IT support
Systems Administration:
Manage user accounts (Active Directory / Microsoft 365 / Entra ID) Administer software licensing (ERP, CRM, SolidWorks, Microsoft, etc.). Addressing software tickets that involve licensing vendors Maintain endpoint/device management systems and enforce security policies Monitor system performance and escalate advanced issues to MSP when necessary
Project Leadership & Continuous Improvement:
Lead and execute small-to-mid-sized IT projects (hardware rollouts, upgrades, software implementations) Identify recurring issues and implement long-term solutions Research, evaluate, and recommend new software, hardware, and tools Act as Company lead in coordinating system upgrades and infrastructure improvements Collaborate with leadership and MSP on technology initiatives
AI Tools & Automation Development:
Evaluate and implement AI tools to improve internal workflows and productivity Develop or support basic automation (scripts, workflows, reporting tools) Identify opportunities to streamline processes using AI or automation Assist with rollout, adoption, and user support for new technologies Stay current on practical AI applications relevant to business operations
MSP Coordination:
Act as the primary liaison between internal users and MSP Escalate complex issues and coordinate resolution Assist with cybersecurity efforts, infrastructure changes, and major projects Ensure proper documentation and knowledge sharing between internal systems and
MSP IT Operations & Documentation:
Maintain accurate IT documentation, procedures, and asset tracking Support hardware lifecycle planning and replacement strategies Enforce IT policies and security standards Qualifications (Required): 4-8+ years of hands-on IT experience Experience with: Endpoint/device management tools Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) PowerShell or other scripting experience Experience in AI tools/ security, automation, workflow optimization Experience supporting users in a LAN/WAN, Microsoft Windows networking environment and remote access configurations including VPN A+ certification strongly preferred
Pay:
$80,000.00
