If you enjoy being the go-to person when things go "beep," "buzz," or "uh‑oh," we'd love to meet you. As a Help Desk Technician, you'll be a key member of our Information Technology team, supporting staff, systems, and vendors while ensuring an excellent user experience across the organization—without skipping a beat.
What You'll Do:
Be the first line of defense for IT Help Desk tickets—triaging, troubleshooting, resolving, and following up Answer Help Desk calls promptly so users stay productive and stress-free Install, run, enhance, update, and administer Credit Union systems Monitor systems to ensure performance and user experience aren't impacted Partner with management to recommend and implement cost‑effective, future‑forward technology solutions Collaborate with and manage relationships with vendors, managed IT providers, and internal teams Maintain high-level knowledge of hardware, software, and applications used throughout the organization Create and share easy-to-follow documentation and instructional procedures Assist with implementation, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs of existing systems Multitask like a pro—supporting multiple users while keeping response times low Communicate technical concepts clearly, patiently, and without the jargon Ensure IT standards, guidelines, and procedures protect systems and minimize security risks Work both independently and as part of a collaborative team Pitch in on other IT-related duties as needed (because teamwork matters!)
What You Bring:
Experience 1-3 years of similar or related IT experience Education (one of the following) Two-year college degree Specialized certification or licensing Vendor-led training courses Job-specific skills gained through an apprenticeship or hands-on experience Skills & Strengths Strong knowledge of hardware, system software, networks, and applications Excellent communication and time-management skills Confidence working with sensitive or confidential information Ability to motivate, influence, educate, and support others Comfortable managing projects, resources, and vendor relationships Previous financial institution or USERs software experience preferred Ability to work independently, travel as needed, and use standard office equipment
