About Arbora Health Arbora Health is building the modern AI-powered revenue cycle platform for behavioral health clinics. We help clinics manage claims, denials, payer workflows, reporting, and revenue operations with real-time visibility and operational intelligence. We're growing quickly and already work with large behavioral health organizations processing millions in collections every month. We're looking for a Founding Data Platform Engineer to help build the technical foundation that powers Arbora's analytics, reporting, infrastructure, and operational systems. About the Role This is a highly impactful engineering role focused on backend systems, databases, infrastructure, analytics pipelines, and reporting. You'll work directly with the founder to build scalable data systems and operational infrastructure that support both internal teams and customer-facing reporting products. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning systems end-to-end and wants broad technical ownership in an early-stage startup. Responsibilities Design and maintain backend systems and APIs Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases and data architecture Build and maintain analytics pipelines and reporting infrastructure Develop customer-facing dashboards and internal operational reporting Own cloud infrastructure, deployments, and system reliability Build scalable ETL and data processing workflows Improve data quality, monitoring, and observability Support integrations with clearinghouses, EHRs, and external systems Collaborate closely with product and operations teams to build operational tooling Tech Stack Python / Django PostgreSQL Google Cloud Platform (GCP) BigQuery Cloud Run React / TypeScript Looker / analytics tooling Requirements 3+ years of experience as data engineer, backend engineer, platform engineer or similar roles. Strong backend engineering fundamentals Strong SQL and database knowledge Experience building analytics pipelines and reporting systems Comfortable owning infrastructure and deployments Product-minded engineer with strong problem-solving skills High ownership and ability to work independently Comfortable in fast-moving startup environments Comfortable working beyond 9 to 5. We're a fast growing early stage startup. Work-life balance is not our priority at the moment. Nice to Have Experience with healthcare or financial systems Experience with BigQuery, ETL pipelines, or BI tooling Experience with GCP infrastructure Experience building internal tools or operational software Familiarity with data modeling and analytics engineering Startup experience Compensation $100k - $160k Base Up to 1% equity Location Bay Area is preferred but not required.
