$70/hr - $88/hr on W2 About the Role We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to build and operate Kubernetes-based platform infrastructure that powers internal AI-enabled engineering workflows. This role is primarily for a Kubernetes infrastructure engineer who has deep hands-on experience with cluster operations, platform services, networking, automation, and cloud-native systems, plus enough familiarity with AI tooling to support platform integrations and adoption. What You'll Do Design, build, operate, and scale production Kubernetes clusters across cloud-native environments. Own cluster lifecycle management, including provisioning, upgrades, patching, scaling, reliability, and performance tuning. Manage core Kubernetes platform components such as networking, ingress, storage, RBAC, monitoring, logging, and security controls. Troubleshoot node-level, control-plane, and distributed systems issues across large-scale production environments. Build automation for infrastructure provisioning, deployment workflows, and CI/CD pipelines using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform. Partner with engineering, product, security, and AI teams to provide a stable platform for internal AI applications and services. Improve developer productivity through platform tooling, reusable services, and operational best practices. Support integration of AI tooling such as model gateways, agent frameworks, or internal AI services into the platform environment. Required Skills 6+ years of software engineering experience with a strong backend, infrastructure, or platform engineering focus. Deep, hands-on Kubernetes experience, including building and operating clusters rather than only deploying applications to them. Strong understanding of Kubernetes internals and platform operations, including cluster lifecycle, networking, ingress, storage, identity/access controls, and observability. Strong programming experience in Go and/or Python for production infrastructure, backend services, or platform automation. Proven experience with distributed systems in production environments. Cloud-native experience in AWS and/or GCP, including compute, networking, IAM, and managed services. Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform, and with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation. Strong communication skills and ability to work across platform, security, product, and AI teams. Preferred Skills Experience with Kubernetes platform components such as CNI, CSI, ingress controllers, service mesh, or operators. Experience with observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry. Familiarity with AI infrastructure patterns, including AI gateways, agent frameworks, model-serving integrations, or internal AI tooling. Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments.
