Full Job Description Overview:
The IT Systems Engineer is responsible for the planning, deployment, and ongoing support of enterprise IT infrastructure across on‑premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. This role focuses on system reliability, performance optimization, identity and access management, cloud services, disaster recovery, and collaboration with cross‑functional IT teams to ensure stable and secure IT service delivery.
Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning Ensure efficient utilization, availability, and scalability of IT and cloud resources to support business operations. Support the development, maintenance, and governance of documentation related to network infrastructure, cloud environments, identity management, systems operations, and disaster recovery. Conduct technology research, feasibility studies, and proof‑of‑concept testing for new infrastructure, cloud, and security technologies. Analyze system performance, network capacity, cloud usage, and identity access trends to improve overall service delivery, reliability, and security. Participate in infrastructure, cloud, and identity strategy planning, including hybrid and cloud‑first initiatives using Microsoft Entra and Microsoft 365 services. Deployment & Operational Management Plan, install, configure, maintain, and support enterprise IT systems across on‑premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. Deploy, monitor, maintain, upgrade, and support: Network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, secure remote access) Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including user and group lifecycle management, role-based access control (RBAC), and identity governance Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, including Single Sign‑On (SSO), Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA), Conditional Access policies, and Zero Trust principles Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, Exchange Online, and integrated SaaS applications Cloud platforms and services integrated with Azure and Microsoft Entra Virtual and physical servers, storage systems, and data centers End‑user computing devices (PCs, laptops, mobile devices) and associated management tools Endpoint security, anti‑virus, and threat protection solutions Manage and support hybrid identity environments, including authentication flows, directory synchronization, and cloud application integrations. Ensure system availability and resilience through proactive monitoring, patching, and lifecycle management. Prepare for disaster recovery by ensuring appropriate backups, cloud resiliency, identity recovery processes, and restoration procedures are implemented, tested, and maintained. Collaboration & Communication Establish and maintain effective written and verbal communication with department heads, managers, end users, and IT peers regarding system changes, outages, upgrades, and ongoing IT initiatives. Work closely with other IT functional teams on project‑based activities, including infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, and security enhancements. Support business continuity efforts by collaborating on disaster recovery planning for critical on‑premises and cloud‑hosted systems. Support & Project Assistance Assist in the planning and execution of IT infrastructure, cloud, and identity‑related projects. Provide advanced operational support by assisting Level 2 teams with issue resolution, troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and remediation. Participate in incident response and problem management activities to minimize service disruption.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field 4-6+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud computing, or system administration Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Strong understanding of Cloud architecture and design principles Networking concepts (VPC, subnets, DNS, load balancing) Identity & access management (IAM) Experience with hybrid cloud/on-prem integration Knowledge of ITIL processes and service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow) Range of pay $92,000 - $113,000 annually. Plus, 10% annual bonus potential. #INDONT
