Cloud Engineer- INTL- LATAM

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a highly specialized Cloud / Platform Engineer to support a critical greenfield infrastructure initiative. This project is focused on re-architecting the way environments are provisioned and services are deployed—shifting from manual, multi-team processes to a fully automated, scalable "golden path." This individual will join a small, high-impact team working directly with a senior architect to design and build a next-generation infrastructure framework using Azure, Terraform/OpenTofu, Kubernetes, and GitOps tooling. This is a blitz-hire opportunity ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, can operate at depth, and is ready to make immediate impact.

What You'll Do:

• Design and build a greenfield infrastructure framework that enables automated, low-touch environment provisioning across the organization
• Develop a "golden path" for service deployment, reducing manual intervention, provisioning timelines, and operational cost
• Use Terraform/OpenTofu to create modular, reusable infrastructure for Azure environments (networking, compute, storage)
• Build and manage Kubernetes-based deployment ecosystems supporting multiple service archetypes (platform, web, foundational systems)
• Implement GitOps workflows using tools like Argo CD, Helm (including umbrella charts), and CI/CD pipelines to align desired vs. actual system state
• Partner closely with architecture and cross-functional V-teams to translate high-level design into scalable, production-ready systems

• 7+ years in SRE, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure
• Deep Azure expertise across large-scale environments
• Strong Terraform/OpenTofu experience building modular infrastructure
• Proven Kubernetes experience at enterprise scale
• Hands-on with Argo CD and GitOps workflows
• Strong Node.js/TypeScript development skills
• Experience with Helm (including umbrella charts)
• Built/maintained large-scale service deployment infrastructure
• Experience with Backstage (developer portal)
• Familiarity with Sveltos or similar tools
• Experience designing end-to-end deployment ecosystems
• Exposure to platform/foundation engineering at scale
