Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience 15 years of experience developing and architecting large-scale technical platforms, having driven the technical direction for organizations impacting engineers. 15 years of experience building large-scale infrastructure platforms and large-scale distributed systems (including GPU systems). 15 years of experience in sovereign cloud environments. (e.g., air-gapped environments). 15 years of experience in the IaaS domain, with experience managing and launching technical products and features. 5 years of experience upgrading productivity with AI. (i.e., workflow and process automation, data analysis and insights, coding and technical development).
Preferred qualifications:
Advanced degree in Computer Science or related technical field. Advanced infrastructure platform experience. Experience as a builder or operator of large-scale infrastructure platforms and distributed systems, with technical knowledge of public/private cloud, GPUs, virtualization, and containerization. Understanding of infrastructure technologies and trends, including public and private cloud, GPU, virtualization, containerization, and experience as a builder of large-scale infrastructure products. Excellent technical and organizational leadership skills with the ability to resolve deep systemic operational problems and drive alignment across large, cross-functional teams. As Principal Engineer, you will be a technical leader responsible for setting the technical direction, architecture, and drive adoption of AI driven compliance and engineering practices. This highly impactful role requires an exceptional blend of deep technical expertise in platform engineering, distributed systems, and AI, coupled with the ability to influence and drive adoption across multiple, globally distributed engineering teams. You will design and implement the next generation of Sovereign platforms that enable our data boundary, dedicated, and distributed cloud instances to easily meet the local security, compliance and regulatory needs, and operate high-assurance, regulated cloud services with maximum velocity and compliance. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $307,000-$427,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Serve as the technical authority and chief architect for the product, defining and driving the technical roadmap in alignment with the strategic outlook across all aspects of reliability, compliance, and security. Maintain cross-functional partnerships with peer engineering teams and external partner teams to ensure alignment and drive technical decisions. Define and run a reliable, performant, and secure software service, including defining the key service metrics. Lead the critical organizational AI efforts to address incident response, compliance, and feature development that goes beyond local team initiatives to driving systemic improvements across the product portfolio. Drive technical excellence and growth across the organization through effective technical mentoring, coaching, and setting the technical bar, emphasizing technical depth and a data-driven culture.
