Fortinet is looking for passionate and talented problem solvers to join our SRE team for building and managing the latest generation of SDLC infrastructure, which is a key part of Fortinet's software R D and release workflow. Service Reliability and Security are our top priorities. The successful candidate will work closely with DevOps and Configuration Management teams to build, maintain, and improve various on-premise systems and services for the SDLC of our core products.
Job Responsibilities:
Participate in designing, implement, deploying, and maintaining on-premise SDLC system infrastructure and services. Research, experiment, and evaluate innovative technologies to enhance and streamline current processes and services with automation. Measure, monitor, and optimize service performance and availability to meet defined SLA/SLO goals. Implement and document operational workflows and security controls. Troubleshoot service incidents and handle service requests. Participate in compliance and certification audits (ISO, SOC2, etc.)
Job Skills Required:
5+ years of practical experience in SRE/DevOps/Infrastructure/Systems Engineer roles; Strong hands-on expertise in: VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter; OpenStack and its services (Nova, Neutron, Cinder etc); Software-defined storage (Ceph) and SAN/NAS storage solutions. Experience configuring physical servers, network and storage appliances (e.g., Dell, SuperMicro, PureStorage etc.) and data center operations; Deep understanding and hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker. Kubernetes) Solid understanding of networking (VLANs, VPN, DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancers) Experience with configuration management and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Ansible/Terraform/Packer).
Experience with monitoring/observability systems:
Prometheus, Grafana, Loki etc. Strong scripting skills (Python and/or Bash) Strong experience with Linux/Unix administration (Ubuntu preferred) Team player with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, and job level. On target earnings for this position is expected to be $129,800 - $158,600 per year. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
