About the
Role:
A leading financial services organization is seeking a Trading Systems Operations Engineer to support mission-critical production systems that power investment and trading operations. This role partners closely with technology, operations, compliance, finance, and business teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of critical production environments. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex technical issues, supporting business-critical applications, and driving automation initiatives within a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Tackle:
Monitor production applications, infrastructure, and data workflows to ensure system stability, reliability, and performance. Respond to incidents, alerts, and production issues while conducting detailed root cause analysis and remediation. Support system integrations, external connectivity, file transfer workflows, and platform enhancements. Assist with application configuration, connectivity management, security administration, and operational support activities. Troubleshoot issues across Linux environments, logs, scripts, data feeds, and application workflows. Partner with engineering, operations, compliance, finance, and business stakeholders to resolve production issues and improve operational processes. Identify recurring support challenges and develop automation solutions to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across production support and operational workflows.
What You Bring:
3+ years of experience in systems operations, production support, application support, site reliability, or platform support roles. Experience working within financial services or other high-availability enterprise environments. Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills. Experience with Python, Bash, or other scripting languages. Exposure to transaction processing systems, data feeds, workflow platforms, or mission-critical applications. Familiarity with messaging, connectivity, integration, or protocol-based communication frameworks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Comfortable working in fast-paced environments supporting business-critical systems. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Nice to

Experience supporting capital markets, trading technology, investment operations, or financial platforms. Experience with external system integrations and connectivity management. Background in operational automation and workflow optimization. Exposure to reconciliation, accounting support, or operational controls processes. Interest in financial technology, market infrastructure, or electronic transaction systems. Experience leveraging automation tools or AI-assisted workflow improvements.
