This role optimizes containerized transformation pipelines and implements Kubernetes-native monitoring solutions. This future opportunity is contingent upon award. Job Description
- The Kubernetes Engineer is responsible for configuring, deploying, and maintaining Kubernetes clusters for
IL2/IL4/IL5
environments.- The position requires developing and managing Helm charts and Kubernetes operators for declarative deployment and automated scaling of ESRI services.
- Engineers will configure persistent volume claims and provision container-native storage (AWS EBS, Azure disks).
- The role includes integrating Kubernetes-native monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, Fluentd, OpenTelemetry). Required Qualifications and Experience The contractor shall provide personnel who meet one of the following requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, or a related field; or
- A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in Kubernetes administration. Candidates must have demonstrated experience in the following areas:
- Deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters.
- Troubleshooting containerized applications.
- Implementing service mesh architectures such as Istio or Linkerd.
- Using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Working with cloud infrastructure services (AWS, Azure, GCP). Required Skills and Competencies
- Expertise in Kubernetes cluster orchestration and container networking.
- Working knowledge of Helm chart deployment and CI/CD pipeline automation.
- Proficiency in AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of security best practices and Kubernetes monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Ability to implement service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd). Education
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) (Preferred, Not Required)
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional (Preferred, Not Required)
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer (Preferred, Not Required) Clearance Requirement
- No clearance required for off-site duty location, or the ability to obtain and maintain the required clearance as specified by the program.
