Job Description:
Remote The Tooling & Traceability Lead will design and implement portfolio-aligned configurations in Jira and Azure DevOps, establish data standards, and create executive-ready dashboards that support governance cadence. The role will ensure portfolio-to-team traceability, funding visibility, and reliable performance signals that sustain beyond the engagement. The lead will partner with portfolio and product leaders to translate governance requirements into practical configurations and measurable reporting discipline. The work will emphasize simplification, data quality, and scalable ownership by internal administrators. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Rate:
$90.00 to $100.00/hr. w2 Responsibilities Design an end-to-end outcome and output hierarchy that enables clear portfolio-to-team traceability. Configure Jira and/or Azure DevOps to reflect the portfolio operating model and governance cadence. Ensure funded initiatives connect visibly to ART and team-level work. Eliminate inconsistent or redundant artifact structures across tools. Define governance-aligned performance metrics and standardize metric definitions and calculation logic. Build executive-ready dashboards tied to the governance review cadence. Validate data accuracy prior to governance forums and decision points. Establish required fields and artifact standards across tools to support reporting. Align workflow states to governance expectations for consistent visibility. Identify and correct data quality issues that impact reporting fidelity. Reduce variation across ARTs that affects measurement and transparency. Align tool configuration to the portfolio operating model and rationalize multi-tool environments. Eliminate duplication and guide migration toward simplified, governance-aligned tooling. Transition configuration ownership to internal administrators for sustainability. Experience Requirements Hands-on configuration experience with Jira and/or Azure DevOps aligned to portfolio operating models. Proven ability to design portfolio-to-team traceability models connecting initiatives to ART and team work. Experience defining governance-aligned metrics and standardizing calculation logic. Track record building executive-ready dashboards and validating data quality before governance forums. Experience setting required fields, artifact standards, and workflow states across tools. Demonstrated ability to identify and remediate data quality issues impacting reporting. Background rationalizing multi-tool environments and guiding migrations to simplified solutions. Experience enabling handoff and ownership of configurations to internal administrators.
