Job Description
Overview We are seeking an experienced AWS Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and operate secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role will support production and pre-production environments and work closely with application, security, and architecture teams to ensure reliable and compliant cloud platforms. This position is being hired in two regions (North America and Europe) with identical responsibilities and expectations. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles. Operate and support production and non-production AWS environments with a strong focus on availability, security, and performance. Build and maintaincore AWS components including networking, compute, storage, and identity services. Collaborate with application, DevOps, and security teams to deliver resilient cloud solutions. Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response practices for AWS workloads. Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement following incidents. Support compliance, security, and audit requirements in cloud environments. Work with vendors and cloud partners, including AWS, on architecture reviews and optimization efforts. Document architecture, standards, and operational procedures. Participate in on-call rotation as required. Required Qualifications Strong hands-on experience with AWS in production environments. Deep knowledge of core AWS services such as VPC, IAM, EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, and CloudWatch. Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK, or similar). Solid understanding of cloud networking, security best practices, and identity management. Experience supporting highly available, business-critical systems. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex infrastructure issues. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience operating AWS in regulated or security-sensitive environments. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling. Experience with containerized workloads and orchestration platforms. AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect or Sys Ops Administrator. Experience working with globally distributed teams.
