Position Summary:
The Application Specialist III is a senior-level role responsible for the advanced management, optimization, and support of critical software applications across the organization. This position requires in-depth expertise to oversee the full lifecycle of application implementation, integration, and performance. The Application Specialist III works closely with business leaders and technical teams to align applications with organizational goals, drive system improvements, and implement best practices. This role leads complex troubleshooting efforts, coordinates application upgrades and enhancements, and provides mentoring to junior team members. Additionally, the Application Specialist III supports cross-functional projects, ensuring the seamless integration of applications within broader business processes and workflows.
Position Duties:
- Deep expertise in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (9.2.20+) across core processes: Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Make-to-Order. Strong experience with JDE Tools (9.2.7+), including upgrades, OMW, CNC processes, Orchestrator, BSSV, and AIS. Lead complex business and systems process analysis, driving enterprise-wide design improvements, data integrity, and process optimization. Design and deliver effective solutions (e.g., JDE custom reporting, data analytics, Power BI) aligned to business needs. Support full enterprise application lifecycle and maintain a strategic, up-to-date application roadmap. Enhance JDE user experience through interface improvements (menus, versions, automation). Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on projects, systems, and process changes. Document, maintain, and troubleshoot ERP processes using data-driven decision-making. Lead evaluation and implementation of technology solutions to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance user experience. Ensure system performance, security, and reliability (24/7), while tracking KPIs and driving continuous improvement.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in business, computer science, management information systems, or a related field is strongly preferred but relevant experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience working with the current JD Edwards EnterpriseOne ERP software system is required. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
