Systems Integration & Test Engineer (4/10 Schedule)

4/10 Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Integration & Test Engineer to support the planning, development, execution, and documentation of test solutions for complex systems involving in‑house developed technologies and
COTS/GOTS
components. In this role, you will translate customer needs and contractual requirements into robust, cost‑effective test strategies while ensuring technical integrity across hardware, software, subsystems, and full system implementations. This position is ideal for an engineer who excels at owning their workload, collaborating across multi‑discipline teams, and delivering high‑quality test solutions with minimal oversight. Key Responsibilities Plan, implement, execute, and document test solutions for integrated systems using both custom‑developed and
COTS/GOTS
components. Translate customer and contractual requirements into practical test architectures that balance technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Establish functional and technical specifications, standards, and system interfaces. Define I/O parameters, troubleshoot hardware/software interface challenges, and ensure cohesive system-level integration. Review, analyze, and derive testability requirements for new or existing systems. Develop comprehensive test plans, procedures, schedules, and documentation for subsystems and end‑to‑end systems. Coordinate test activities across programs, engineering teams, and partner organizations. Perform detailed analysis of test results and generate system evaluation reports to validate overall system performance. Write discrepancy reports, track issues, and conduct regression testing to ensure proper implementation of fixes. Support continuous improvements in test processes, documentation, and system quality. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science , or a related technical discipline; or equivalent professional experience. 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office tools to generate technical reports, project plans, and work instructions. 5+ years hands‑on experience developing, editing, and maintaining software using LabVIEW. 3+ years experience developing and supporting automated test sequences using TestStand. 3+ years experience analyzing, debugging, and resolving complex technical problems. Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks independently. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to work effectively in team environments. Ability to deliver high‑quality work with minimal direction. Desired Qualifications (Nice to Have) 9+ years of relevant professional engineering experience. Expertise in measuring electrical parameters for components and subassemblies. 5+ years of subject matter expertise in RF or Microwave systems and subsystems. 3+ years experience developing complex automated test programs using TestStand. Strong background in researching, evaluating, and specifying components for custom test equipment. Proven ability to troubleshoot at all levels: measurement setup, fixtures, instruments, software, and unit under test. Proficiency in creating block diagrams, assembly sketches, parts lists, and other engineering documentation. Experience in Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA) processes. Solid experience deriving test requirements from system‑level or design‑level requirements. Ability to generate documentation to resolve discrepancies between hardware and drawings. Strong collaborator with multidisciplinary engineering teams across multiple organizations. Experience preparing and delivering technical presentations, trade studies, and solution briefings. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Chelmsford, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $79.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
