Sr. Application Builder

Description The Ring team is looking for a passionate and talented Sr. Android Software Development Engineer who has experience building world-class mobile apps. You will be responsible for developing mobile applications that interact seamlessly with our devices and delight our customers. Key job responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and development of platform capabilities that support Ring mobile applications
• Lead the evolution of our application architecture, addressing deficiencies and driving scalability
• Develop platform tooling, SDKs, and shared components using Android Studio, Kotlin, AI, and a variety of other technologies
• Develop with performance, quality, and reliability in mind
• Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to design, build, and deliver platform solutions
• Ensure operational excellence by resolving platform issues, improving build systems, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation across the mobile platform
• Use AI to deliver efficiently — this can include generating code, unit tests, documentation, tickets, resolving defects, optimizing code, and much more

• Support and influence key decisions within the mobile platform and promote best coding practices

• Collaborate with backend developers to define how our apps integrate with back-end services

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
