Systems Engineer III
The Systems Engineer III provides systems engineering services to all projects under the management of
Responsibilities
CPE IEW&S
for the Capability Program Executive, Intelligence, Electronic Warfare, and Sensors (CPE IEW&S) Program Management Offices.Responsibilities
- Provides acquisition management advice and recommendations based on a comprehensive understanding of all Adaptive Acquisition Framework Pathways (Urgent Capability Acquisition, Middle Tier Acquisition, Major Capability Acquisition, Software Acquisition, and Defense Business Systems), MIL
HDBK 245
(Handbook for the preparation of SOW), andMIL HDBK 61A
(Configuration Management).- Coordination with CPE Headquarters staff (i.e., budget, systems engineering, logistics, and contracts planning) to identify, prepare, review, and track approval of program documentation.
- Prepare, review, and staff engineering and programmatic documents, such as: Systems Engineering Plan, Test and Evaluation Master Plan, Information Support Plan, Program Protection Plan, Materiel Release Package, and Cybersecurity Strategy.
- Participate in technical reviews, including events leading to the review, and events after the review, such as: Software Specification Review, System Requirements Review, System Functional Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, Production Readiness Review, Functional Configuration Audit, and Physical Configuration Audit.

Policy for Technical Review.- Participate in the weekly/bi-weekly integrated product teams and working groups by offering subject matter expertise.
- Consult with Army leadership on Lessons Learned, Executive Summaries, and
CPE IEW&S
policies and procedures.- Provide subject matter expertise in Post-Award Conferences.
- Review all systems engineering documentation in preparation for Milestone Decision Reviews.
- Develop, analyze, and track programs' Integrated Master Schedules and Risks.
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree
- A minimum of (8) years of related work experience is required.
- Experience with technologies for C2, ISR, Cyber, EW, sensor integration, etc.
- TS/SCI Clearance
