Job Summary The Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering professional is a hands-on technical leader responsible for designing, automating, securing, and operating hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure environments across on-premises and Google Cloud platforms. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership to drive cloud modernization initiatives, infrastructure automation, database migrations, network and security architecture, and platform reliability. The position plays a key role in architecting and implementing enterprise-grade solutions across VMware, GCVE, Kubernetes, network security platforms, database technologies, storage systems, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks while mentoring engineering teams and promoting DevSecOps and reliability engineering best practices. Key Responsibilities Lead operational management of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Google Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE), and on-premises VMware and NSX environments. Drive Oracle and BRM migration initiatives from pre-production and on-premises environments to GCP and GCVE platforms. Design secure hybrid connectivity solutions including VPNs, firewalls, and load balancing architectures. Ensure high availability, scalability, backup, and disaster recovery readiness across infrastructure platforms. Architect and maintain enterprise-grade automation solutions using Ansible and Terraform. Develop and maintain automation scripts for VM provisioning, network placement, SSH key configuration, password setup, and database orchestration. Design and automate Oracle Data Guard and Cascaded Data Guard configurations, including failover orchestration. Lead Blue/Green deployment automation strategies and enhance IaC modules to support evolving cloud capabilities. Lead Oracle database migration efforts from on-premises environments to GCVE and GCP platforms. Implement GCP Datastream integrations and optimize database performance and resiliency for mission-critical systems. Manage GKE cluster lifecycle activities including feature evaluation, IaC upgrades, cluster version upgrades, and traffic switching strategies. Ensure secure, scalable Kubernetes environments integrated with load balancing, firewall, and security controls. Configure and manage GCP Load Balancers, AVI Load Balancers, and AVI/NSX load balancing solutions. Implement and maintain production-grade traffic routing strategies to support high availability and performance optimization. Manage and architect security solutions including Palo Alto Firewalls, CloudArmor

Firewalls, and NSX security configurations. Design secure VPN connectivity solutions and implement Zero Trust and least-privilege security principles. Oversee firewall governance, compliance, and security policy management. Lead Apigee X deployment and integration efforts within GCP environments. Ensure secure API gateway integration aligned with enterprise networking and security standards. Oversee lifecycle management of GCVE infrastructure, NSX networking, and AVI load balancers. Mentor junior and mid-level engineers while promoting an automation-first and Infrastructure as Code culture. Establish technical standards, participate in design reviews, and lead incident management and architectural review discussions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across infrastructure, automation, and operational processes. Required Qualifications Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including Compute, Networking, Datastream, GKE, and CloudArmor. Experience managing Google Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE), VMware vSphere, and NSX-T environments. Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and GKE platform engineering. Experience with Oracle database migrations, Data Guard, and disaster recovery orchestration. Strong understanding of hybrid cloud infrastructure, networking, and security architecture. Experience configuring and managing load balancing technologies and traffic routing solutions. Expertise in firewall technologies including Palo Alto and cloud-native security controls. Strong knowledge of DevSecOps, automation frameworks, and reliability engineering principles. Experience with virtualization, enterprise storage, and network infrastructure technologies. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent leadership, mentoring, and communication abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Apigee X deployment and API platform management. Familiarity with enterprise storage technologies such as EMC and Pure Storage. Experience with Cisco/Dell switching infrastructure and Brocade SAN environments. Experience implementing Blue/Green deployment strategies in enterprise cloud environments. Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and advanced cloud security practices.
